Oppo introduced its new Find X5 series in February, which consists of three models. Alongside the entry-level Find X5 Lite are two flagship models, the Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro. The cheaper Find X5 is anything but a bargain with its official price of 999 Euros (US$ 1129), but it could be the better choice for many users than the Find X5 Pro, which is priced at just under 1300 Euros (US$ 1600).
Close to the Find X5 Pro
Apart from the form factor and the SoC, both models only differ in minor details. While the 6.7-inch Oppo Find X5 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the 6.55-inch Find X5 uses the barely slower Snapdragon 888.
A 120 Hz AMOLED display is also part of the equipment in both devices, as well as near identical camera hardware from Hasselblad and the MariSilicon X image processing CPU. Unlike the Find X5 Pro, the main camera of the Find X5 uses a 2-axis instead of a 5-axis image stabilizer. But the Oppo Find X5 delivers just as good camera image quality as its larger flagship colleague. In terms of power charging, there are no differences between the two.
Fast charging with 80-watt power supply
Both smartphones come with an 80-watt power adapter, which allows the Find X5 to be fully recharged in well under an hour. 30-watt wireless charging and 10-watt reverse wireless charging are also supported.
The Find X5 makes only a few concessions compared with its flagship colleague, forgoing an IP rating (Find X5 Pro: IP68) for example. The Find X5 Pro offers a slightly larger battery, 12 GB of RAM instead of 8 GB, and a slightly higher-resolution display (3216 x 1440 pixels compared with 2400 x 1080 pixels).
