OPPO is thought to launch a vanilla flagship variant with a top-end MediaTek processor (rather than one from Qualcomm as is more usual for the OEM) called the Find X5 in 2022. The putative device may have been fleshed out in a new report. It includes more details on each of its 3 high-res rear cameras.

OPPO is now said to launch a Find X5 and X5 Pro in 2022, powered by the Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors respectively. Now, MyDrivers has released an article purporting to outline the former in terms of its specs and potential camera performance.

This vanilla flagship is thus now projected to launch with a 1440p 6.7-inch 120Hz display made of the latest Samsung E5 AMOLED, with the latest LTPO 2.0 technology and a Sony IMX709 (32MP) punch-hole selfie camera: much like that associated with the Find X5 Pro, in other words.

Similarly, the X5 is now slated to have the same 50+50+13MP rear camera set-up enhanced with OPPO's own MariSilicon X co-processor as the X5 Pro. Of these, the larger 2 are expected to be the same Sony IMX766 sensors, although they might do different things in the Find X5.

One is slated to be a primary lens with OIS, whereas the other might be a "free-form" 110° wide-angle shooter. The 13MP one is slated to be a telephoto lens with 2X zoom. All 3 are expected to be found in an IP68 rear panel with a second generation of OPPO's 'molded glass' camera hump.

Otherwise, the Find X5 is now rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery with the OEM's 80W charging technology and 50W wireless charging. All in all, it is now portrayed as a successor to OPPO's Find X3 Pro, just without a Qualcomm processor.
