Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Lite leak confirms strange hardware choices and high prices
WinFuture has leaked high-resolution renders and numerous specifications of the Find X5 and Find X5 Lite, two cheaper options in Oppo's upcoming Find X5 series. While the Find X5 series is still several weeks from being announced, purportedly at MWC 2022 later this month, equivalent renders of the Find X5 Pro have also already leaked.
According to WinFuture, the Find X5 is slightly smaller and cheaper than its Pro sibling. However, the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro share camera hardware and Hasselblad branding. Hence, the Find X5 will launch with two 50 MP (Sony IMX766) cameras, each with 1/1.56 inch formats. Supposedly, these will serve as primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras, while a 13 MP camera will be on hand for telephoto shots. Additionally, the Find X5 is tipped to feature a 32 MP front-facing camera situated beneath a punch-hole.

WinFuture adds that the Find X5 has a 6.55-inch, 120 Hz and AMOLED display that resolves at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. For some reason, Oppo has opted for the Snapdragon 888 rather than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 though, which it reserves for the Find X5 Pro. 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will be on board too, as will a 4,800 mAh battery.
In comparison, the Find X5 Lite is the European version of the Reno7 SE, launched in November in China. Apparently, the Find X5 Lite retains all the Reno7 SE's features, including its Dimensity 900 SoC, 4,500 mAh battery and 1080p AMOLED display. You can read more about what to expect from the Find X5 Lite in our Reno7 SE launch article. Reputedly, the Find X5 Lite will launch for approximately €500; half the Find X5's expected launch price.
