Oppo unveiled a trio of smartphones at MWC 2022 today. The top-of-the-line Oppo Find X5 Pro packs the best hardware Oppo has to offer and then some, but it is priced on the higher end. Those looking for a flagship experience on a tighter budget can opt for the base Oppo Find X5. It retains most of the Pro variant's features and costs a tad less (€999). One can buy it alongside the Pro and Lite variant on March 21.
One of the main differences between the Oppo Find X5 and the Find X5 Pro lies in its SoC. The former uses a previous-generation Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Along with the SoC, the battery gets a slight downgrade with a capacity of 4,800 mAh, and it supports 80 W fast charging over a cable and 30 W Air VOOC wireless charging. Lastly, the Oppo Find X5 Pro's screen size is scaled to 6.5-inches (FHD+ resolution) and peak brightness to 1,000 nits.
At the back, the Oppo Find X5 uses the same 50 MP Sony IMX 766 sensor (1/1.56", f/1.8, 24mm focal length) with 5-axis OIS, a 50 MP Sony IMX 766 ultra-wide-angle lens (1/1.56", f/2.2, 15mm focal length) and 13MP S5K3M5 (1/3.4", f/2.4, 52mm focal length) telephoto lens. A 32 MP Sony IMX 615 sensor handles selfies and video calls. Video recording is capped to 4K 60 FPS on the rear camera and 1080p 30 FPS on the front. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and 5G.
