OPPO has announced an interesting new feature that might arrive with the next major upgrade to its Android skin (ColorOS 12.1). It appears to consist of a first-party app that allows the user to 'see' if cameras have been concealed in the room in which they find themselves through their phone's own rear shooters.
The OEM depicts it as a form of scanning for wireless signals that might be specifically geared toward finding hidden electronics or electronic components in the user's vicinity. It might strike some as the product of overheated ColorOS dev imagination; however, it is less and less likely to be met with tinfoil hat memes these days.
Furthermore, OPPO argues that it would be nice to have should a user find themselves in need of a hotel sometime soon. Its beta status might mean it ends up to exclusive to the Find X5 and X5 Pro on its launch; however, it might trickle down to other phones of the same brand - and possibly even to those from OnePlus - soon thereafter.
