Update: OPPO has now launched the K10 in India, confirming that its display is an LCD FHD+ 90Hz panel (which, again, is looking more and more commonplace in 2022). Then again, it is kept on with a generous 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
With ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11, the K10's software could be newer. On the other hand, it also has expandable storage and a 3.5mm jack: features some tech fans might wish would stick around instead.
The new K-series variant starts at INR 14,990 (~US$196) for a base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage. It has just 1 other 8/128GB SKU, price at INR 16,990 ($223), from March 29, 2022 via online and select offline retailers.
Original Article: OPPO had previously indicated that the K10 would be its first-ever Dimensity 8000-based smartphone; however, it now seems that the variant now set to debut in India is not the same as that device. The OEM has now confirmed that its upcoming market-specific variant will do so with a Qualcomm processor instead.
In fact, the K10 is now confirmed to arrive in India with the same Snapdragon 680 platform as the A76. It will, at least, be accompanied by 'boostable' RAM, not to mention expandable storage, packaged in a "Glow Design" chassis along the lines of those recently developed for its K-series predecessors.
This updated rear panel is also now slated to contain a 50MP sensor as one of the sensors found in its elongated camera hump. OPPO is keeping the rest of the K10's specs under wraps for a few more days into the hype phase of its launch, now scheduled to culminate on March 23, 2022 via oppo.com/in.
