Canalys has now released a report on the smartphone market for the latest complete quarter, the third of 2021 (3Q2021). The group has concluded that its shipments have fallen by 6% year-on-year (YoY), and that this reduction can be attributed to the ongoing chipset shortage. However, this did not stop Samsung from staying at the top of the charts, as it did in 3Q2020.

Official Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro color names and regional model variants materialize

The official color names for the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have been revealed, and they are as typically whimsical as one could expect from the search engine giant. Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will at least “sorta” come in black and white. In addition, it appears only some key markets will get the 512 GB variant of the Pro model.

Higher than expected Google Pixel 6 US price tag accidentally leaked as Pixel 6 Pro price prediction follows

The supposed US price tag for a Google Pixel 6 has turned up seemingly by accident in the terms and conditions of a sweepstakes event. The price for the Pixel 6 is revealed as an “approximate retail value” and is considerably higher than a previously leaked price tag for the upcoming Google smartphone.
