Redmi's K50 event is nearly upon us; nevertheless, the OEM is still being generous with its practically last-minute teasers. For example, it has just revealed that at least 1 of the new series' variants will have its latest colorway. Dubbed Silver Trails, it covers the phone's rear panel and flattened edges (the stuff of earlier official leaks), although it leaves the device's new and markedly large camera hump black.
That is not all from Redmi for now: it has also just previewed some K50 display specs. These details, which seem to pertain to the line's "Dimensity 9000 Edition", indicate that this screen will have "relentless clarity" thanks to a "2K" panel supplied by Samsung.
Accordingly, it will have a pixel density of 526 ppi: a quality of display that will come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Redmi has also now revealed that this K50 screen will feature DC dimming, and will support 10,000 levels of brightness. It has also apparently been optimized for color, including the adjustment of color temperature based on ambient conditions.
The Dolby Vision-enhanced display has thus (almost inevitably) been awarded an A+ rating from DisplayMate in advance. Then again, despite all these compelling screen details, they do artfully skirt around other potentially vital points, such as whether it might have LTPO 2.0 or not. Therefore, it will now be interesting to see if Redmi does in fact mention additional specs such as this on March 17, 2022.
