Additional Motorola Edge X40 specifications have been revealed. They include 50 MP + 50 MP + 12 MP triple rear cameras, a 5,000 mAh battery and up to 18 GB of RAM. The 12 MP sensor is a telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom.

Google's latest top-end Android smartphone has now made its appearance on the JerryRigEverything YouTube tech teardown channel. The Gorilla Glass Victus- and anodized aluminum-enhanced Pixel 7 Pro might have passed the traditional battery of online durability tests with flying colors - were it not for one of its series' most distinctive and prominent hardware attributes, that is.

Onyx BOOX has announced the Tab10, an Android tablet with an E-Ink display. One of many devices that the company has launched this month, the Onyx BOOX Tab10 arrives in China first for CNY 3,580 (~US$500).

DOOGEE has announced that it will debut its first ever tablet in November 2022. The T10 will start at just under US$120, yet to pack potential advantages such as a USB type-C port for data and charging; support for dual-SIM 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi 5, and expandable memory. On the other hand, it will have an FHD LCD display driven by a bargain-bucket processor from Unisoc.

Vivo is a smartphone OEM that has just secured the #1 spot in its native market of China for the third quarter of 2022 (3Q2022). Vivo has confirmed initial details about the camera hardware it plans to include in the upcoming X90 smartphone series. Samsung has announced that Maintenance Mode will start to become a part of One UI worldwide from the current v5 iteration. It allows a user to secure the personal or sensitive data found on a smartphone they need to send off for repair, and recover it only when it is back in their hands. Vivo has announced Funtouch 13 as the latest UI for its smartphones. It is intended for those devices sold in markets such as India and Europe, and is based on up-to-date Android 13. Thought to be the rumoured Pixel 7 Ultra, the G10 could also be an early sighting of next autumn's Pixel 8 Pro.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 has made its AnTuTu debut with an overall score of 1,266,102 points. It is over 10% faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. MediaTek is rumoured to unveil the SoC sometime in November.

Samsung has released a new app that brings greater control of its stock camera app for Galaxy smartphones. Available as Camera Assistant, the app allows you to prevent auto lens switching and disable Samsung's picture softening algorithm, for example.
