Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event for the S23 series can't be far away now, as you can tell from the upcoming flagship smartphones' sheer leak-load these days. Their latest tips purport to reveal yet more official branded cases that might be unveiled alongside their apparently compatible devices.
They may hint at the extent of the OEM's creativity in making these accessories and potentially confirm numerous alleged design details, some variants' thin bezels and flat screens included.
They are shown in the latest images shared by the leakers SnoopyTech and Roland Quandt of WinFuture, who seem to agree that Samsung has made more of its silicone and S-View cases for its new premium non-foldables, the latter of which are portrayed as turning an S23-series device into a kind of inverse S20 Ultra.
WinFuture goes a little further in claiming that there will also be first-party "Frame Covers", which apparently consist of a bumper compatible with a variety of interchangeable back-plates, some of which have card-slots.
S23-series owners might also have the option of a "Ring-Stand-Cover", which has an inbuilt, color-matched PopSocket-type thing that might be able to switch between propping the smartphone up in either portrait or landscape mode via a slide-and-lock mechanism. There may also be cases with possibly detachable hand-straps.
It seems most of these accessories (which also include a screen protector with a central punch-hole cut-out) will be available for the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra successor, and can match all of their rumored colorways - although navy and orange may also be options.
Then again, Corning might have you believe that none of them will be necessary in 2023. The advanced materials OEM has also gotten in on the S23 leak game by effectively announcing that the "next generation of Galaxy flagship smartphones" will also be first to ship with the latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Corning's new flagship product for mobile device protection is touted as better optimized for drops onto surfaces such as "rough concrete" compared to its first-gen predecessor.
As it has also been revealed to "contain an average of 22% pre-consumer recycled content", Corning may have also now pre-empted the almost inevitable 'sustainability' phase of Samsung's Galaxy S23-series introduction as well as that for 'durability'.
Nevertheless, the new spoiler should make for some interesting drop test-type videos in the near future.
