Turkey’s custom duty rate of 30% for imported goods from non-EU countries is certainly hefty, but it shouldn’t lead to the above exorbitant amounts. However, it is worth pointing out that a brand-new iPhone 14 from the official Apple store in Turkey costs 32,999 TL, which is roughly US$1,754 or over double the price that shoppers in the US have to pay.
