Entertainment tablet. The newest device of the IdeaTab family is a big 10 inches and features a quad-core SoC. Thanks to its IPS display, it should be especially suitable for multimedia tasks. How can the tablet stand out of the crowd of competitors?

Powerhouse. Based on the barebones of the MSI GT70H, DevilTech offers a highly configurable, hellishly potent gaming machine. A number of CPUs ranging from the Intel Core i7-4700MQ to the insanely powerful Core i7-4930XM in combination with a GeForce GTX 770M or a GTX 780M should be more than enough to stir any gamer's blood.

Triumphant successor. Acer tries to combine the features of long battery life, low energy consumption and high performance. The company offers a very interesting hardware combination for this purpose: A ULV chip together with a mid-range GPU, at a total price of 600 Euros (~$803).

Round 3. A new SoC is used and the 3G model has been replaced with an LTE module. Now an Atom SoC from Intel can exhibit its performance. Are these the significant differences compared with the 10-inch precursor or is there more to it?

Office giant with stamina. Lenovo offers an inexpensive office notebook with the G700. Despite the good battery runtimes it is however not a very mobile device with its 17-inch display.

Refined water lover. Samsung slips a 5-inch TFT screen with Full HD resolution into a metal frame and fills the remaining space with all the good inner components from their flagship Galaxy S4. Then they IP certify it -- and voilà, the new outdoor smartphone. A superior quality S4? Can it be true?
