Samsung’s troubled Galaxy Fold looks set to get an official relaunch date in the couple of days, according to Co-CEO DJ Koh. Koh heads up Samsung’s mobile division and says that the company has investigated the issue and appears to have developed a solution to stop the same display issues from recurring.

Redmi will unveil its first flagship in the near future. The device will attempt to fill the boots of older Mi flagships by offering premium specifications at an extra-affordable price point.

Concept renders and a brief video of the supposed successor of the iPhone XR have been published online. The device is expected to be the “cheap” member of the next series of iPhones and will wield lower specifications than the other 2019 smartphones. Pine64, a Chinese company known for its single-board computers, has delivered a video update of the upcoming Pinebook Pro laptop. The manufacturer seems to be working out some teething problems with the 14-inch device, but it is still expected to be released within the next few months at a budget price point of around US$200.

HTC has been pretty quiet of late with not a lot in the way of new announcements or even activity on its social media accounts. Fans of the beleaguered smartphone maker will be keen, however, to learn that another previously unseen HTC device has just made an appearance on Geekbench.

OnePlus seems to have kicked an own goal in its latest marketing teaser for the OnePlus 7 Pro. The Chinese company has posted a short video clip on its Twitter feed showing its latest smartphone being dropped into a bucket, implying water resistance and an IP67 or IP68 rating. The problem is, it hasn’t received any such certification, nor does OnePlus plan to seek certification.

The upcoming M40 could be released by June, seeing how fast Samsung launches all the M-series models these days. There's no denying that the new model is faster than the previous ones as it comes powered by the Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with 6 GB of RAM. Design-wise, there might not be notable differences compared to the M30 model, but rumors suggest a larger screen.
