EA DICE announces live reveal date for Battlefield V

EA DICE has confirmed Battlefield V will be the next installment in the hugely popular Battlefield series. Gran Turismo series tops 80 million sales

Sony Interactive Entertainment has issued a press release stating that the Gran Turismo racing franchise has enjoyed sales of over 80.4 million units. The original game in the popular series was released in 1997 for the PlayStation platform and eventually sold over 10 million copies on its own. Gran Turismo Sport (2017) is the latest installment in the franchise.

Rage 2 gets an announcement trailer

Video-game publisher Bethesda has released an official announcement trailer for Rage 2. The short clip does not reveal much about the gameplay but does set the tone for the sequel to the 2011 first-person shooter. The game is believed to be a joint development with id Software and Avalanche Studios. Rage 2 is expected to be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The NES Classic Edition is coming back June 29th

Nintendo announced via Twitter that the NES Classic Edition will be re-released on June 29. The console will still cost USD $60 and will include the same 30 titles. Nintendo stated that both the NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition will be available through the end of the year.

Trove joins the battle royale club

Trove, an MMORPG from Trion Worlds, will soon be offering a type of battle royale mode for players. A “Bomber Royale” mode has been announced for the popular game, and it will be made available in summer as part of a large expansion that has been scheduled for the title. Trove was released for Windows in 2015 and is free to play.

3.1 million units of God of War sold in first three days

According to Sony, 3.1 million copies of God of War have been sold in the first three days of the game’s release. The latest installment in the famous franchise was launched on April 20 and has been met with critical acclaim. The action-adventure title, which was developed by the Sony-owned SIE Santa Monica Studio, has already become the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive to date.

According to research by SuperData, Fortnite managed to earn an incredible US$223 million in March. The smash hit from Epic Games was already a success even before the battle royale mode was introduced. A newly discovered hardware exploit allows for the execution of arbitrary code on devices powered by Nvidia's Tegra processors. This includes Nintendo's wildly popular Switch, which has been under the scope of several hacking groups this past year. The new exploit functions at the boot level and is claimed to be "unpatchable."
