Nintendo Switch OLED gets The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom makeover for US$360, available from April 28

Nintendo announced that it will be bringing a special Nintendo Switch OLED coinciding with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game. The Zelda-themed Switch will show off game art wherever possible including on the dock and the Joy-con controllers. The Switch Zelda Edition will be available from April 28 for US$359.999 with Zelda-themed accessories launching on May 12.

Nintendo will be launching a special edition of the Switch OLED to celebrate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The special edition Switch will have the Zelda theme plastered all over it including the dock and the Joy-con controllers. 

The company is also working on Zelda-themed accessories such as a Pro controller and a carrying case. Specifications-wise, the Zelda-themed Switch is identical to the current Switch console, including the same 7-inch OLED display, adjustable stand, dock with LAN port, and 64 GB storage.

The Nintendo Switch The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition will be available on April 28th for US$359.99. Zelda-themed accessories will launch on May 12th for US$74.99 for the Pro controller and US$24.99 for the carrying case, which is also the date when Tears of the Kingdom finally launches.

What is to be noted here is that Nintendo is not offering the whole thing as a bundle — the game still has to be bought separately from the console. 

Pre-orders for the Zelda-themed Switch are live on Best Buy, Target, and Nintendo.
