The Nintendo Switch is certainly not the most powerful or most exciting gaming hardware that is currently on the market, as some fans argue that the highly anticipated successor is long overdue. But with its extensive library of high-quality exclusives, the handheld remains one of the most sought-after gaming consoles in the world. Fittingly, a new deal now offers a rather rare discount on the OLED version of the Nintendo Switch.
To be more precise, the Amazon-owned online retailer Woot is currently offering the white color variant of the Nintendo Switch OLED for US$309 including free shipping for Prime members. This deal undercuts Amazon's current price by US$40 or 11 percent, which is quite noteworthy considering that the portable gaming console's price is incredibly stable. This is also reflected in Camelcamelcamel's price history, which indicates that Amazon has never sold the Nintendo Switch OLED for less than US$349.
In comparison to the original model of the Nintendo Switch, this updated version features a slightly larger 7-inch display, which sports the usual OLED characteristics such as an infinite contrast ratio, perfect black levels and great color reproduction. As usual, the handheld is equipped with 64GB of internal storage which can be easily expanded with a microSD card (from US$15 on Amazon). Therefore, gamers who would like to catch up with some of the most famous gaming franchises such as Mario, Pokémon or The Legend of Zelda, might want to take advantage of this deal.
