The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X has finally made its Geekbench debut with a single-core score of 2,217 and a multi-core score of 24,396. Its main competitor, the Intel Core i9-13900K scored 2,169 and 24,189 in the same test.

As expected, the chip comfortably beats the Core i9-12900K in both workloads and tramples the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and the Ryzen 7 5800X in the multi-core test.

Just hours before launch, a new leak indicates that the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor can offer the highest boost on the TSMC N5 node at 5.85 GHz. Cinebench R23 numbers for AMD's upcoming Raphael Zen 4 Ryzen 5 7600X and Ryzen 7 7700X have leaked recently. The single-core numbers seem to be on par with the Core i7-12700K with potential for beating even the Core i9-12900K. Multi-core numbers for these processors show decent gains over their predecessors, but Intel seems to have the upper hand here at the moment.

The chips which might include the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D are reportedly Zen 4 desktop parts with 3D stacked cache. One of the first images of the GPD Win 4 handheld gaming console have emerged online. They showcase a largely identical design to the GPD Win 3. The console will reportedly feature a larger screen and run a current-generation processor from AMD.

A leaked Cinebench R20 score of the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X Zen 4 processor has shown up online. It nets single and multi-threaded scores of 773 and 7,701, which are 25% faster than its Zen 3 counterpart, but slower than the Core i7-13700K, which scored 814 and 11,243.

An early AMD Ryzen 5 7600X prototype is being sold on a Chinese marketplace for RMB 9,999 (~US$1,400). The engineering sample has a base clock of 4,400 MHz and was manufactured sometime in May 2022.

A base configuration with Core i3-1220P CPU, 240 GB storage and 8 GB RAM is priced at US$855. ASUS has finally started selling the Zenbook Pro 17 in Europe, over three months after the company introduced the laptop. Equipped with a powerful AMD Ryzen 6000 APU, the Zenbook Pro 17 also features a 2.5K and 165 Hz display that measures 17.3-inches across, plus an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 discrete GPU.
