The 2022 model of the Asus ROG Strix G15 that is currently discounted by 23% on Amazon has the same design and 300 Hz IPS display as it sibling mentioned above, but uses the less potent AMD Ryzen 7 6800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 duo. Thankfully, the discounted price tag of US$999.99 should be enough to make up for the performance drop involved.
The full model name of the discounted Asus ROG Strix G15 (2022) is G513RC-IS74. In addition to the aforementioned display, processor, and graphics card, this gaming laptop also features 16 GB DDR5 memory, a single 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD, an RGB-lit keyboard, ROG intelligent cooling with self-cleaning dual fans and Thermal Grizzly Liquid Metal thermal compound, and a MUX Switch that allows the GPU to communicate directly with the display. Connectivity-wise, it sports Wi-Fi 6E with RangeBoost, Bluetooth 5.2, an RJ45 LAN port, HDMI 2.0b, and 4 USB 3.2 ports (2 X Type-C, 2 X Type-A). The preinstalled operating system is Windows 11 Home.
