CES 2023 | ASUS ROG Flow X13 refreshed with powerful AMD and NVIDIA hardware combination within 13.4-inch convertible design
ASUS has announced a 2023 refresh of the ROG Flow X13 during its CES presentation. Like the ROG Zephyrus G14, the ROG Flow X13 comes with up to an AMD Ryzen Zen 4 APU and a new NVIDIA laptop GPU. However, while the former will be available with up to the RTX 4090, the latter makes do with the RTX 4070, which offers 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 60 W TGP with Dynamic Boost. According to ASUS, this year's ROG Flow X13 also contains the following I/O:
- 1x 3.5 mm combo jack
- 1x HDMI 2.1b
- 1x Micro SD Card Reader (SD 4.0)
- 1x ROG XG Mobile interface
- 2x Speakers with Smart Amp Technology
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery
- 1x USB 4.0 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery
Additionally, the ROG Flow X13 (2023) has a 75 Wh battery, which sits within a 299 x 212 x 16.7 mm chassis. Overall, this year's ROG Flow X13 weighs 1.4 kg, regardless of the configuration chosen. ASUS adds that the machine will be configurable with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, as well as a 13.4-inch display that operates at 2.5K with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response times. Alternatively, the ROG Flow X13 (2023) will ship with an FHD panel that outputs at 120 Hz with 7 ms response times and 100% sRGB colour space coverage.
It is worth noting that the ROG Flow X13 (2023) only has one SO-DIMM slot, with half of its RAM soldered to its motherboard. Currently, ASUS has not confirmed how much the ROG Flow X13 (2023) costs, nor has it provided a complete list of regions in which it will be available. The new ROG Flow X13 will be coming to Europe later this quarter, though.
