ASUS has presented a 2023 version of the ROG Zephyrus G14, its compact gaming laptop. As its name suggests, the ROG Zephyrus G14 still comes with a 14-inch display. According to ASUS' press release, this year's ROG Zephyrus G14 will be available with a choice of three panels:
- ROG Nebula HDR QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600)
- Mini LED backlights
- 165 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response times, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage
- NVIDIA G-SYNC, Dolby Vision, Pantone validated
- ROG Nebula Display QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600)
- IPS-level panel
- 165 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response times, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage
- NVIDIA G-SYNC, Dolby Vision, Pantone validated
- FHD+ (1,290 x 1,200)
- IPS-level panel
- 144 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response times, 100% sRGB colour space coverage
- Dolby Vision, Pantone validated
Additionally, ASUS has equipped this year's ROG Zephyrus G14 with up to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM split evenly between onboard memory and one upgradeable SO-DIMM slot. The ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023) will also be available with up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage and contains a 76 Wh battery that powers twin woofers, tweeters and an RGB-backlit chiclet keyboard. Moreover, all ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023) configurations come with the following ports:
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 4.0 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x MicroSD (UHS-II)
- 1x DC-in
Arguably the biggest selling point of this year's ROG Zepyhrus G14 is its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 APU combination. Although ASUS has not provided all details about this hardware combination yet, the former has 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM and a 125 W TGP wiyh Dynamic Boost. ASUS has not confirmed when the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2023) will be available, nor for how much. However, the laptop will start at 1.65 kg and 312 x 227 x 18.5 mm but will rise to 1.72 kg and 312 x 227 x 19.5 mm with an AniMe Matrix and Mini LED panel.
