CES 2023 | ASUS presents ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM with 240 Hz, 1,000 nit and 2.5K display
ASUS has presented the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM, one of many ROG-branded devices showcased during CES 2023. As its name suggests, the monitor combines OLED technology with a 27-inch for what ASUS hopes will 'appeal to gamers of all stripes'. In summary, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM offers the following display features:
- 2,560 x 1,440-pixel native resolution (2.5K/1440p)
- 240 Hz refresh rate
- 1,000 nits peak brightness
- 0.03 ms response times (type unknown)
- 99% DCI-P3 and 135% sRGB colour space coverages
- Delta E <2 colour deviation factory calibration
Additionally, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM has an 'anti-glare micro-texture' coating to minimise glare when gaming and a custom heatsink coupled with a large vent to pull waste heat away from its OLED panel. Supposedly, ASUS has developed a voltage optimisation algorithm that should deliver consistent luminance across the entire panel for uniform brightness. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM also ships with an updated DisplayWidget Center, which collates all OSD menu items.
ASUS has not confirmed when the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM will be available nor for how much, as with other ROG announcements during CES 2023. Presumably, ASUS will reveal more ROG SWIFT OLED PG27AQDM details later this year.
