Apparently, Oppo found a way to safely implement "air-charging" into smartphones using a new FreeVOOC coil and an electromagnetic emitter that has a 10-meter range. This allows the batteries to constantly charge at 5-10 W while in the range of said emitter, so the phone supposedly never runs out of juice.

In his latest research note, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has forecast that Apple will make a large-scale transition to ARM-based MacBooks and Macs in 2021. Previously Kuo had indicated 2021 would be when the first ARM-based Mac would ship, but wasn’t it still wasn’t clear that Apple would take baby steps or go the whole hog. At the time, we correctly speculated that there were good reasons for Apple to go hard on the ARM-based Mac transition and it looks as though the same rationale will drive the change.

The Realme 6i with a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC gets launched

Realme has confirmed leaks pointing to a Helio G80-powered phone with the launch of the 6i in Myanmar. Unlike the rest of its new series, this phone has an HD+ display, although it outdoes the rest with a 5000mAh battery. It also features a novel "pinstripe" rear panel in 2 new colors.

The Redmi Note 9S is a re-branded Note 9 Pro for another market: new leak

Redmi has just announced a launch date for a phone called the Note 9S in Malaysia. Now, a new entry on the Geekbench 5 website for this device returns the same specs as the Note 9 Pro. This suggests the 2 products are one and the same.
