The OnePlus 8 Pro was launched months ago and has finally made its way over to DxOMark for its camera evaluation. The phone impressed, without breaking any records, which is about typical for OnePlus flagships.
The OnePlus 8 Pro earned an overall score of 119. That sees it break into DxOMark's top ten, ahead of phones like the Galaxy S20+ (118) and iPhone 11 Pro Max (117), but behind phones like the Galaxy S20 Ultra (122), Huawei Mate 30 Pro (121), and Mi Note 10 Pro (121).
In the still photography category, the OnePlus 8 Pro made away with a score of 126. Notable weaknesses included highlight clipping in challenging scenes, as well as slight underexposure and noise in night shots. In the video category, the OnePlus 8 Pro recorded a score of 103. That's on par with the best smartphones on DxOMark's charts, including the Galaxy S20 Ultra (102), Oppo Find X2 Pro (104), and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (104).
As always, we'd like to point out that DxOMark's camera scores don't represent a factual representation of camera capabilities, and are not to be considered gospel.
