Deal | Grab a OnePlus 8 Pro for US$599
OnePlus launched the 8 Pro as its most premium phone in 2020. It may not have the Hasselblad branding of its recent replacement, the 9 Pro, but remains a powerful Android device thanks to its Snapdragon 865 processor, quad rear cameras and UFS 3.0 storage.
The 8 Pro has a 120Hz "Fluid AMOLED" display, as does the 9 Pro. It also has 30W wired and wireless charging, which, while not as fast as that of its successor, is still pretty speedy. The phone runs on OxygenOS 11, which is based on Android 11 - same as the 9 Pro.
Then again, its support might start to fall behind thanks to the presence of its replacement. Those who can accept or work around that risk might stand to score an excellent deal on the 8 Pro, particularly right now. Its price has fallen to US$699 for a unit with 12GB of RAM, as opposed to $1069 for its 2021 counterpart.
However, buyers can get a further $100 off this price with the code SPRING8PRO100. It should work on OnePlus.com while checking out with a new 8 Pro in Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue or Onyx Black in their cart from April 21 to 27, 2021.
OnePlus 7 Pros are available on Amazon right now for even less.
