Samsung has unveiled that One UI is coming to its laptops. One UI Book 4 is the company's attempt to provide a cohesive ecosystem across its mobile product lines, even though it is just Windows 11 in not much of a disguise.

A few screenshots showing Android apps running on a preview build of Windows 11 have surfaced on Chinese social media. The screenshots indicate that Microsoft will offer Android support via an optional install from the Microsoft Store. Supported Android apps on Windows will be able to offer multi-window multitasking, notification center integration, taskbar pinning, and more.

Intel Pentium 4 processors run Windows 11 because of an oversight on Microsoft's behalf. Even single-core ones are eligible for Windows 11, provided that they support Hyper-Threading.

Huawei has refreshed the MateBook X 2021, following in the steps of the MateBook X Pro 2021. The new MateBook X features a choice of one Tiger Lake processor, LPDDR4x RAM and is available in three colours. Huawei's ridiculously high pricing will put most people off, though.

Intel's latest display driver, version 30.0.100.9955, brings support for dynamic refresh rate and H.264, HEVC DX12 encode for 10th gen Core processors with Iris Plus graphics and upwards. Dynamic refresh rate is a new Windows 11 WDDM 3.0 feature that allows devices, such as the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop Studio, to seamlessly switch between 60 Hz and higher refresh rates to offer the best of battery life and smooth inking.

The Ryzen 7 APU and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU allow playing all the current games smoothly on the matte FHD display of the G15. The laptop offers space for two NVMe SSDs and also has an excellent battery life. Only the display won't win any prizes.

Alienware has announced the latest iteration of its popular Aurora gaming desktop. The redesigned model has been launched to coincide with the 25th Anniversary of the Alienware brand.

The Inspiron 15 3501 scores points with low noise and heat development as well as enough room for two storage devices. The CPU and GPU performance falls short of the possibilities.

Lenovo continues to teases the Yoga 16s 2022 on its Weibo channel. The company has now shared hands-on images and has confirmed that USB Type-C charging will be supported. The device will be available without a dedicated GPU, too.

Lenovo has started teasing the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022, a 14-inch laptop with a slim design. The company claims that the machine relies on a carbon fibre and aluminium-magnesium alloy chassis, which reduces its weight by 23% relative to the Yoga 14s. As a result, the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022 weighs just over 1 kg. The device may feature AMD Ryzen APUs, too.

Luna Display has added support for using an iPad with a Windows PC. The company originally offered the functionality for Macs and iPads but Apple subsequently ‘sherlocked’ the feature in macOS Catalina with its Sidecar functionality.

AMD and Microsoft have finally acknowledged poor L3 cache performance in Windows 11, and a fix for the same is on the way in the form of a Windows update later this month. AMD also notes that CPPC2 may not schedule threads properly on preferred cores in Windows 11 and is investigating a fix.

The new FastConnect chips from Qualcomm simultaneously harness two separate bands and can thus lower latency and jitter by a factor of four compared to Wi-Fi 6 solutions that only connect via a single band. Razer has refreshed the Blade 15 Advanced with more configurations. The company has cut the price of the Razer Book 13 by US$200 too, bringing the machine down to US$999.99 for the cheapest model. All new configurations ship with Windows 11, but Windows 10 also remains an option.

Asus has announced that the VivoBook 15 OLED (or K513 OLED) is now available to Indian customers. It comes with a choice of 2 11th-gen Intel processors and either SSD or dual HDD/SSD storage. Today (October 5, 2021), ADATA has made its latest 15.6-inch XPG XENIA-series laptop official. The 15 KC upgrades to an 11th-gen Intel processor and RTX 3000 graphics. Being an XPG, it gets first-party "high-performance" DDR4 RAM and SSD storage.

Insiders have noticed a few show-stopping bugs with Windows 11, which is now officially available for all eligible PCs. Microsoft is preparing Microsoft 365 and Office 2021 for release on October 5 on Windows and macOS devices for business, personal and student customers. A new rumour from South Korea suggests that Microsoft and AMD are developing an Arm processor for laptops. It will use Cortex-X1 CPU cores, an AMD mRDNA2 GPU with 8CUs, and an Exynos 5G modem. The mystery SoC will be fabbed on TSMC's 5nm node.

The new Windows 11 roster includes three Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus SKUs and another three Xiaoxin Pro 14 SKUs with a mix of Intel Tiger Lake and AMD Ryzen 5000 U/H processors, plus a new Yoga 13s model that is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 5600U APU. All models are under $900, with the most affordable being the Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus Ryzen 5 5600U priced at $680, and the most expensive being the Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus Intel version with Nvidia MX450 dGPU priced at $850.
