AMD has added support for the Radeon RX 6300M and RX 6500M in its latest Radeon GPU driver. The drive update contains references to the Radeon PRO W6300M and Radeon PRO W6500M too, all based on the entry-level Navi 24 GPU.

Moore's Law is Dead recently shared a spec sheet summarizing leaked details about what appears to be an entry-level variant of the Intel Arc Alchemist GPU. The card could be priced as low as US$179, with performance on par with the GTX 1650 SUPER.

The bleeding edge of DRAM technology is now officially known as DDR5, rated for twice the data-transfer rates of its predecessor DDR4. However, its own next generation, DDR6, is now slated to launch with double these new speeds - or less than half those of DDR7 again. Tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA recently claimed to have spotted product listings for the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT and RX 6400. The cards are reportedly built on the Navi 24 GPU, with 4GB of GDDR6 across a 64-bit memory bus.

Without any actual performance metrics, it is not clear if the Fenghua 1 can take on AMD's and Nvidia's solutions. NVIDIA is expected to announce an RTX 2060 with 12 GB of VRAM soon, with a view to easing pressure on the desktop graphics card market. Now, Gigabyte has registered several RTX 2060 12 GB SKUs with the EEC, signalling that it intends to release the refreshed Turing architecture card.

GeForce Now Priority tier users report that NVIDIA is capping their framerates in certain games below 60 FPS, going as low as 45 FPS in titles like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Cyberpunk 2077. This is despite the fact that Priority Tier uses an RTX-capable GPU which should be able to hit 1080p/60 FPS, even in intensive titles, raising questions about artificial limitations.

In addition to the 521 and 128 EUs confirmed so far, Intel may also look to offer the Xe-HPG DG2 Arc Alchemist GPU in a 448-EU variant. Though the 448-EU variant was spotted long ago in a leak, a recent commit to the opensource Mesa 3D library further confirms that Intel may indeed look to offer a scaled-down version of the 512-EU chip that can possibly take on the Radeon RX 6600 or the RTX 3060 Ti.

The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti mobile GPU appears to be based on the existing GA104 die that powers the RTX 3080 version and is rumored to come as a response to Intel's ARC Alchemist laptop GPUs releasing in Q1 2022.

According to reports, NVIDIA is preparing to release three new graphics cards before the end of the year. All are revisions of existing and past models though, with the RTX 2060 12 GB arriving first in early December.

Two MacBook Pro 16 laptops containing two different variants of new Apple Silicon have been put through a massive battery of benchmark tests with some surprising results. The M1 Pro with 16-core GPU was pitted against the M1 Max with 32-core GPU, with the laptops featuring a US$1,200 price difference. The M1 Pro proved itself to be more than capable.

A new leak has confirmed that the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 and Snapdragon 898 will both use ARM's new V9 architecture. This confirms the presence of X2 and Cortex-A710 cores on the upcoming flagship chipsets. Lenovo will be introducing a mid-cycle refresh of the Legion 7i soon. The Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs have been thoroughly tested by AnandTech with some dramatic but also unsurprisingly familiar results. While the M1 Max rubbed shoulders with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU and AMD’s Radeon 6800M in synthetic benchmark testing, both it and the M1 Pro were left floundering in game tests.

The new Apple M1 Pro SoC has surfaced in several Geekbench records running in Apple’s 2021 MacBook Pro laptops. There are listings for both CPU and GPU performance, with a 10-core M1 Pro easily outscoring an Intel Core i9-10910. Several Geekbench OpenCL listings of new M1 Max-powered Apple MacBook Pros are now available. In one such comparison with a Dell XPS 17 9710 laptop powered by the Core i7-11800H and an RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, the RTX 3060 seems to have a 51% advantage over Apple's offering. However, Apple's implementation is able to achieve the present score at a much lower power consumption compared to the XPS 17 9710.

SK Hynix has introduced its latest development as high bandwidth memory 3 (or HBM3) as "the world’s best-performing DRAM". It is rated for up to 78% greater data-processing rates compared to its predecessor, thanks to its maker's latest TSV technique. HBM3 also has a new maximum capacity per module, thanks to the latest manufacturing processes.

MonsterLabo's Beast case is able to maintain max temperatures of 89 °C for an Intel i9-10900K running at 4.5 GHz and 1.13 V on all 10 cores, while the RTX 3080 GPU required a bit of tinkering to prevent power leaks above 80 °C.

GFXBench 5 results of the Apple M1 Max indicate that raw performance may really not match up to an RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, though there are likely benefits when power consumption is factored. The early results show that the M1 Max is probably more on the lines of an RTX 3060 Laptop GPU than an RTX 3080. However, it all depends on the type of benchmark considered and there's no definitive conclusion just yet.

Apple made some bold claims about the performance of its new M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs, including their graphics capabilities. A quick and dirty number crunch based on the known graphics performance of the M1 shows that those claims are likely justified.

AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 6600, its answer to NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060. The RDNA 2-based card arrives with a US$329 MSRP and supposedly delivers 'the ultimate 1080p gaming experience'.

A UK retailer has leaked the price of AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 6600 graphics card. Sapphire expects to sell the Navi 23-based card for over £435, equivalent to US$475 without sales taxes. VideoCardz has leaked several other custom cards too, including an ITX model.

ASUS and Noctua have finally revealed their collaborative graphics cards, both based on the GeForce RTX 3070. Supposedly, the pair are the quietest air-cooled graphics card in their class and should not exceed 35 dB(A) under load.

Samsung has confirmed the presence of ray-tracing technology on a future Exynos GPU. Ray tracing should produce images in games that create a higher immersion factor due to lighting and shadow refinements.
