The release of the RX 6500 XT has gone down poorly so far, with AMD's technical staff even trying to explain why the card performs poorly. According to @greymon55, AMD still hopes to bring the RX 6500 to market, also with 4 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. However, the card is expected to be closer in performance to the RX 6400 than the RX 6500 XT, with 768 stream processors at its disposal.
Purportedly, the RX 6500 will arrive in May for as little as US$130. Theoretically, this price would undercut the RX 6500 XT by US$70, but it is unlikely that AMD's board partners would offer the RX 6500 anywhere near MSRP. If the RX 6500 XT is anything to go by, the RX 6500 could reach US$200 at third-party retailers, if any are available.
By contrast, @greymon55 expects AMD to announce a Radeon RX 6X50 XT refresh this summer, likely towards the end of June or the start of July. Based on previous rumours, AMD will reveal for mid-cycle refreshed cards, ranging from the RX 6750 XT to the RX 6950 XT. AMD will throw in the RX 6850 and RX 6850 XT too, separated by 768 stream processors. Supposedly, all will offer 18 Gbps VRAM and all but the RX 6750 XT will have 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Unfortunately, prices for the RX 6X50 XT series have not leaked yet.
