Asus and Palit GeForce RTX 3090 Ti AIB variant leaks indicate upcoming launch and price tags north of US$5,000
Once again shadows of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti have been seen in the form of SKUs making brief appearances in numerous places. Thanks to the eagle-eyed dataminer momomo_us, who also spotted the recently reported Japanese listings for MSI variants of the RTX 3090 Ti, we now have two more sightings of the unreleased graphics card. While the post with the Palit GameRock boards simply shows a couple of variants, the leaker’s tweet about the Asus boards includes some disturbingly high price tags.
Three Asus models are listed: the TUF RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB Gaming, the TUF RTX 3090 Ti OC 24 GB Gaming, and the ROG Strix LC RTX 3090 Ti O24 GB Gaming. Obviously, these boards bring plenty of custom details with them, including comprehensive regular cooling or liquid cooling systems depending on the SKU. However, the prices listed are still shockingly steep: The TUF boards are €4,332.11 (US$4,960) and €4,413.85 (US$5,054) for the regular card and OC card, respectively.
The liquid-cooled ROG Strix variant of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti gets the highest price tag here, at an astonishing €4,577.40 (US$5,218). With the two units from Palit also turning up, in the forms of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GameRock OC and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GameRock, it could indicate that an upcoming launch date is on the cards. However, with prices like these tipping the US$5,000 mark, there’s a good chance many units will simply find their way into large crypto mining farms.
