Exorbitant GeForce RTX 3090 Ti price tag to be expected as retailer listings reveal excessive figures ahead of rumored launch
The noted dataminer momomo_us has posted an excerpt from a retailer’s listings that show two variants of the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti at sky-high prices. The screenshot has been taken from a Canadian retailer and features an entry for the Asus RTX 3090 Ti TUF Gaming and the Asus RTX 3090 Ti ROG Strix LC. The former is listed for CAD$4,649.19 while the latter with its liquid cooling feature is more expensive at CAD$5,239.93.
For those living in other markets, those RTX 3090 Ti amounts are the equivalent to US$3,689/€3,339/£2,801 for the TUF Gaming model and US$4,158/€3,764/£3,157 for the ROG Strix LC variant. There have been rumblings for quite some time now that the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti could trouble the US$4,000 mark and these listings appear to add credibility to that possibility.
Obviously, these prices are not yet set in stone, and there has been some discussion that Nvidia might even skip posting an MSRP for the RTX 3090 Ti, leaving it down to the individual customer to decide whether to pay out for the upcoming board or wait for the RTX 40 series. It is believed the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will finally be launched on March 29.
