The smartphone OEM Realme started life as a spin-off from the company OPPO. Now, however, it has emerged that the 2 brands are effectively going their separate ways. The younger firm is now its own private company with its own CEO and R&D unit.

LG's original 2019 flagship smartphone has started to see updates to Android 10. However, this is only reportedly applicable to units in the OEM's native South Korea at present. This upgrade also apparently comes with the November 2019 security patch.
