Update: iQOO has released a follow-up teaser in which it indicates that this phone will indeed feature the Snapdragon 865, as well as UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. Oddly, the new promos in question made no mention of 5G. Could there be an LTE version of the 3 as well? In any case, they also show the date February 25, 2020 as footnotes, suggesting that this is the new flagship's launch date.
iQOO, the OEM Vivo's high-value brand, has hinted that it has a new phone to launch soon. It is to be called the 3 5G, and is thus likely to feature up-to-date connectivity. However, this may not be the end of its speed-related specs.
The brand's official Weibo channel has also suggested that an upcoming device will come with the improved UFS 3.1 standard for flash storage. It would go well with the rest of the 3 5G's rumored specs: for example, should it turn out to be an unreleased Vivo phone recently spotted on Geekbench, it will also run on the Snapdragon 865 processor and at least 8GB of RAM.
In addition, its officially-leaked image shows that the iQOO 3 5G might be appealing on the outside as well. It shows a phone with quad rear cameras, as well as a headphone jack placed along the top edge of the phone. To date, this potentially exciting new phone has yet to be linked to details on its launch or availability.
