Chuwi has revealed that it will update its AeroBook product with a new Pro variant. Like the pre-exising model, it will launch via Indiegogo as a reward. Those who back it should receive a laptop with a "premium" metal chassis and a 3840x2160 "HDR enhanced" display. It is also slated to be equipped with the Intel core i5-6287U processor.
Therefore, this new AeroBook Pro is aiming for the similarly-spec'd 13-inch MacBook Pro, albeit a more elderly version. It may also have 8GB of (DDR4) RAM, as well as 256GB of internal storage. This drive is to be SATA-SDD in nature, although the notebook is also described as having an M.2 PCIe SSD slot.
Chuwi also claims that its new PC will have a "full-featured" USB type C port, although no mention of Thunderbolt has been made. The OEM has left its pricing a mystery for now, meaning that interested consumers will have to wait approximately 22 days for its crowd-funding campaign to start off.
