Chuwi has launched its latest 2-in1 tablet, the Hi10 X. The tablet is aiming to tempt people in with its affordable pricing and its metal unibody design, along with dual USB Type-C ports and a detachable keyboard dock.

The Hi10 X, a 2-in-1 that Chuwi announced last year, is now available to purchase worldwide. Chuwi has clearly aimed the Hi10 X at people who do not require high-end hardware from their devices. Rather, the Hi10 X would be best suited as a daily companion for office tasks like note-taking and catching up on emails.

Chuwi equips the Hi10 X with a laminated, 10.1-inch IPS panel that resolves at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The tablet supports the company's Hi Pen 3 too, which Chuwi claims is accurate up to 1,024 pressure levels.

Underpinning the Hi10 X is a Celeron N4100, a quad-core processor that can reach 2.4 GHz, which integrates a UHD Graphics 600 (Gemini Lake) GPU. Intel released the chip in 2017, consigning it now to only entry-level devices like the Hi10 X. Chuwi complements the Celeron N4100 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, although you can add microSD cards should you need more storage.

The Hi10X also supports Bluetooth and up to IEEE 802.11 n Wi-Fi, while it has more ports than most of its peers. On the tablet itself, Chuwi has included two USB Type-C ports, a micro HDMI port and a headphone jack. Meanwhile, the keyboard dock integrates two USB Type-A ports should you need to connect legacy peripherals.

The Hi10 X weighs around 600 g by itself and is only 8.8 mm thick. Despite its svelte footprint, the inclusion of a unibody metal chassis should help keep the tablet sturdy. The Hi10 X is available from third-party retailers like AliExpress, Amazon and Banggood for between US$200 and US$325 depending on whether you purchase it with the keyboard dock and Hi Pen 3 too.
