An engineering sample of the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 8 has been put up for sale on eBay with bids starting from US$1,300. According to the seller's description, the Surface Pro 8 is powered by an Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 CPU, 32 GB RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. Though still a prototype, this listing indicates that the Surface Pro 8 will sport the same chassis as the Surface Pro 7 with no design changes.

The Eve V 2020 is an upcoming Intel Tiger Lake-powered convertible PC that, as its OEM likes to say, was co-designed with its fans. The latest stage in its ongoing production involves finalizing the design of its detachable keyboard. It now apparently combines aspects of a few previous concepts, the custom button functions of which Eve now invites feedback on.

Samsung's 15.6-inch convertible offers a compact case, very good battery life, and a very bright display with a brightness of up to 600 nits. Its touchscreen display (QLED, IPS, FHD) does not only support finger but also stylus input using the included S Pen.

The PIPO W11 is a budget alternative to the Microsoft Surface lineup, specifically the Surface Go 2. The W11 is still relatively cheap though, thanks to its Gemini Lake processor and 8 GB of RAM.

The new Travelmate models come in slimmer yet sturdier chassis made of an aluminum-magnesium mix. Upgrades include the latest Tiger Lake CPUs with Xe iGPUs, up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 1 TB NVMe SSD storage, a Thunderbolt 4 connector and a larger battery that can last up to 15 hours.

Acer has redesigned its convertible Acer Swift 3 with a new 16:10 WQXGA (2,560x1,600) touchscreen. It also features Intel's new Tiger Lake processors and comes with an upgraded battery. The notebook will be available for purchase in January 2021 for €999 (US$1,181)

Acer has released an updated version of its Spin 5 convertible notebook with 11th-generation Intel processors. It also comes with a 3:2 screen protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. Prices start at €1,099 (US$1,300) for the base variant, which will be up for grabs in December 2020.

Acer has released the Acer Chromebook Spin 513, its first Chromebook using the new 8 nm Snapdragon 7c chipset. The 13.3-inch model is a middle of the road 1.2 kg and 15.6 mm thick, but the design is attractive and will be appreciated by home users as well as the enterprise model being suitable for the office.

Previously known as DG1, Intel's Xe discrete GPUs may first launch with select Tiger Lake laptops. One of these could be the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TP470EZ convertible that is advertised to be featuring the first Xe dGPU named Iris Xe Max. No official specs for this model as of yet besides the 4 GB GDDR5 VRAM, but we are hearing that it may feature a 96 EU G7 chip with higher clocks.

Dell is slashing $50 off the price of its latest entry-level convertible laptop equipped with the Core i5-1135G7 processor and integrated Iris Xe graphics for a final tally of $650 before taxes. However, we recommend upgrading the touchscreen to 1080p or else you'd be stuck with only 768p.

Lenovo's top-of-the-line 10th gen Ice Lake convertible gets another price cut in anticipation for the upcoming 11th gen Tiger Lake replacements set to arrive before Thanksgiving.

Intel's latest Celeron 6305 and 6305E processors have a number of up-to-date features and specs that may make devices based on them particularly worthy of consideration. There may have a lower base clock here compared to its immediate forebear, but it also supports double the cache, as well as faster memory and graphics. Chromebooks with Google's ChromeOS have been enjoying some popularity in the education sector. It seems that Google is making inroads in the business sector as well now, as some companies transition to the simpler Google OS. Lenovo's answer to this development: The new ThinkPad C13 Chromebook Enterprise. This 13.3 inch convertible is also the first ThinkPad laptop with a blue chassis.

As with the Lenovo ThinkPad X13, the performance increase gained through Comet Lake on the ThinkPad X13 Yoga is marginal compared to its predecessor. Therefore, Lenovo could have definitely saved itself the leap to the current Intel CPUs.

The new ZenBook Flip S left a good impression in our review, but there are still some aspects about the convertible, that Asus could improve.

The new Surface Pro X is here, and it is not called the Surface Pro X2. Instead, Microsoft continues to call its ARM Surface the Surface Pro X, primarily because it has only made iterative upgrades. The Surface Pro X is now available in Platinum with new Signature Keyboards and can be equipped with Microsoft's new SQ2 processor. No details have been offered about the SQ2, though.

Microsoft has delayed the release of the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 8, according to a report. The two devices may not arrive until Q1 2021, with Microsoft opting to release an updated version of the Surface Pro X and a budget Surface Laptop, instead.

The ThinkBook 14s Yoga convertibles are lighter and slimmer than previous versions due to the new anodized aluminum chassis. They also come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass protective layer for the 360-degree touchscreen. Processor options go up to an Intel gen 11 i7 Tiger Lake, which can be coupled with up to 40 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and there is a Thunderbolt 4 connector, as well.

Dell has refreshed the XPS 13 2-in-1 with Intel Tiger Lake SKUs with Xe graphics and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. The new 2020 XPS 13 9310 2-in-1 is also Intel Evo-certified and offers pretty much the same chassis and thermal design as its predecessor including the inability to upgrade RAM, storage, and the Killer AX1650 Wi-Fi 6 card.

The Envy offers a Ryzen 5-4500U APU, 16 GB of working memory (dual-channel mode), and an NVMe SSD. In addition, there is a very good battery life. Not only can the touchscreen be operated with finger input, but also with an input pen that is available separately.

Microsoft and Qualcomm have partnered to expand the App Assure Program to Windows 10 PCs powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx SoCs. The aim of the program is to encourage developers to make their apps compatible with Windows 10 on ARM with a view to encouraging customers to get on the platform.

Although the AMD Ryzen 4000 series offers better performance compared to current Intel CPUs, the former processors aren't available in business convertibles that can be used both as tablet and laptop. The only exception is the HP ProBook x360 435 G7, which promptly received a good score in our test.

Lenovo US has announced a major sales event running for this weekend only, with up to 70% off some PCs of various types. Among these are the 7th- and 8th-gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon ultrabooks, which are down to under US$1000 in some cases. The Ryzen 7 Pro 3700U-powered T495s also features here at an excellent price.

The Flex 5G is Lenovo's premium 2-in-1 with the Snapdragon 8cx platform that allows it the same standalone connectivity as most 2020 flagship phones. It has been on sale in the US before; however, those units were locked to the Verizon UW bands. The OEM now sells SKUs that may be used on any network.

The Surface Pro X may be one of Microsoft's most stylish products to date, but it did not quite hit the heights as the regular Surface Pro series has. Nonetheless, Microsoft is planning to release a second-generation model, and it will allegedly arrive next month.

Walmart is doubling down on laptops with new Gateway models spanning from $199 subnotebooks up to even gaming laptops north of $1000 USD with Ryzen 7 CPUs and GeForce RTX 2060 GPUs. If you ever wanted a cheap laptop without buying used, then these should fit the bill.

The Surface Duo is now available. Microsoft's dual-screen Android phone has been hotly anticipated, but early reviews suggest the device needs a bit more time to bake; while the design is good, the software is buggy. The phone starts at US$1399.

The new thin and light Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G convertible ultrabook packs Intel's new i5 / i7 quad-core Tiger Lake-U CPUs with integrated Iris Xe graphics coupled with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x-4266 RAM and up to 512 GB of NVMe SSD storage. It is also the first laptop to feature a 13 MP camera, and, thanks to the new Intel Evo specs, it also comes with a Thunderbolt 4 port.

You can't have it all when it comes to subnotebooks. If you value a super-bright 1000-nit display, then the HP EliteBook x360 will be the best option. If you rather have a proximity sensor for hands-free login, then you'll have to go with the Dell Latitude.

Asus' Intel 11th-gen Core-based notebook line-up contains a ZenBook Flip S, for the first time in quite a while. This new variant (the UX371) features the new OLED NanoEdge PANTONE-validated panel as many of its new siblings. It also has Thunderbolt 4 and stands out with a premium build and an accented colorway.

Dynabook launched two laptops today. The Portégé X30W-J and Portégé X30L-J are Tiger Lake laptops with Intel's Iris Xe Graphics. Both laptops weigh less than one kilogram (2.2. pounds) and are equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Asus has refreshed its VivoBook line of notebooks with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs and Xe graphics cards. The VivoBook 14 and 15 get Wi-FI 6 compatibility and the ZenBooks' Numpad functionality. Asus says that it will reveal the notebooks' price and availability at a later date.

The ZenBook Flip 13 is now configurable with the Intel Core i5-1035G1 and Core i7-1065G7 Ice Lake CPUs. It can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage. Prices start at US$899 for the base version. Both notebooks will be available for purchase in the United States on September 16.

There are two new convertibles from Lenovo for the high-end consumer market: The Lenovo Yoga 9i replaces the Yoga C940 line with a new 14 inch model and a new 15.6 inch model.

Dell Technologies has posted its performance for its second fiscal quarter of 2021 (2FQ2021), which ended on July 31, 2020. The company has announced total revenues of US$22.7 billion for this period, with a net income of $1.1 billion. This success was attributed to demand for devices and services that drove working and learning from home.

In response to the often harsh realities of the peri-Covid-19 world from the enterprise perspective, Qualcomm implemented the Small Business Accelerator Program to help firms of that description during this time. It exists to donate specific kinds of support and device from the OEM's partners in this initiative. The first round of successful applicants has now been announced.

The anniversary of the release of the Surface Pro 7 is approaching, which should signal the arrival of a successor. Probably called the Surface Pro 8, the device remains an unknown quantity for the time being.
