As opposed to the low-end Lenovo IdeaPad or high-end Lenovo Yoga 9i, the Yoga 7i is the mid-range model that should be more than sufficient for most users. Best Buy has a specific configuration on sale at the moment for $649 USD down from the original launch price of $899.
As detailed in our review of the system, the Yoga 7i has a sleek metal chassis design that could easily pass as a more expensive Yoga 9i. In fact, it even comes with dual Thunderbolt 4 ports much like its pricier counterpart. The main distinguishing factor between it and the Yoga 9i is its lack of an integrated stylus recess which we aren't big fans of, anyway.
Drawbacks include the soft keyboard keys, soldered RAM, and lack of integrated HDMI. It'll take some time to get used to the feel of the keyboard and you're probably going to want to invest in a USB-C docking station to make the most of the Thunderbolt 4 ports. The unit is a bit heavy when in tablet mode, but that is to be expected for any 14-inch convertible.
