The MSI Pro 24X AiO boasts a super-thin design with narrow bezels

MSI wants to bring style to the seemingly stale world of business PCs with its latest AiO. The 23.6-inch Pro 24X has bezels just 2.2 mm narrow and a thickness of only 6.5 mm along the top. Internally, however, it's a bit disappointing to see no discrete GPUs or 8th gen Intel CPUs. The MSI AiO launches in July for 550 Euros.

HP has released reports for the fiscal 2018 second quarter results, and it seems to have been a good financial quarter overall for the California-based company. Net revenue was US$14 billion and GAAP net earnings stood at US$1.1 billion. HP’s results topped a Wall Street prediction of US$13.57 billion for net revenue.

A new paper compiled by LG and Google researchers stipulates that the human eye has a resolution of about 9600 x 9000 pixels with a FOV of 160 x 150 degrees. The new LG OLED VR screen is not there yet, but i certainly seems to be the best on the market right now, with its 4800 x 3840 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 120 x 96 degrees FOV.

The GTX 1170 GPU is supposed to be powered by the same GT104 Turing 12 nm chip as GTX 1180, but it will come with lower specs that include ~1.5 GHz base clocks (1.8 GHz boost clocks), reduced CUDA core and TMU count, and slower GDDR6 VRAM. TSMC reveals more details on the 5 nm manufacturing process

The 7 nm manufacturing process will be superseded by the 5 nm one by 2020. Right now, TSMC is working to improve the extreme ultraviolet lithography tech that should lead to reduced power consumption and considerable performance gains for the 7+ nm chips in late 2018. TSMC estimates that the performance gains and power requirements will see minor improvements with the 5 nm stepping.

Cortana ranked as the most popular virtual assistant for businesses

A member survey of IT professionals done by Spiceworks has found Cortana to be the most widely implemented virtual assistant in North American and European businesses. Siri follows closely behind with Google Assistant and Alexa having significantly lower market shares. These results are an interesting contrast to consumer usage.

Dell announces two new OptiPlex 7460 and 7760 AIO with pop-up webcams and a refreshed OptiPlex 5060 Micro

Today Dell has announced three new models in their business and corporate orientated OptiPlex line of desktop computers, which are currently in their 25th year of production. These new models include two All-in-one (AIO) and a micro (ultra-small form factor) designs for more discrete office setups.

A bevy of new Dell productivity monitors that include USB-C connections and 65 W power delivery

Dell has been number one in monitor sales for 17 straight quarters, and they are looking to continue this trend with the announcement of seven new and refreshed monitors. Three of the new models stand out because of their USB-C connections, giving us an indication of future trends as we move towards possible universal usage of USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 replacing various other non-compatible data and display standards.
