A week before the official unveiling of the Nubia X anniversary flagship, the Chinese company posted an infographic describing eight key features that recommend the upcoming model over the competition. Apart from the front and rear displays, the Nubia X will be featuring a flexible OLEDs, no selfie cam on the front (no notch), wireless charging, gaming-friendly specs and more.

The new H133W-MY 2-in-1 convertible integrates a Snapdragon 835 SoC, as Weibu was unable to get hold of Intel's Gemini Lake ULV CPUs due to the ongoing shortages. Apart from the not-so-well-received SoC, the compact laptop packs 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a 13.3-in IPS screen with touch capabilities.

The first smartphones to use the Helio P70 are set to debut in November. MediaTek is promising numerous improvements over the P60 especially in regards to AI and deep-learning facial detection (DL-FD) for better camera performance.

A renowned supply chain analyst has predicted that Apple will soon update the iPad Mini series, with a fifth generation of the popular tablet possibly coming out in 2019. The iPad Mini 4 was released in 2015 and featured the now dated A8 SoC. It is expected an Apple iPad Mini 5 will come with “an upgraded processor and a lower-cost panel.”

Misfit, the American wearables manufacturer, has unveiled official details about the upcoming Vapor 2 smartwatch. The wearable will come in two different sizes and feature a phone-free music player, a standalone GPS, and it will have a built-in heart-rate sensor. This useful device is currently advertised at a starting price of US$249.99.

HTC has launched its Exodus 1 smartphone, which features blockchain technology and a built-in cryptocurrency wallet. Those interested in getting their hands on an Early Access Edition of the device can sign-up now and pay with either Bitcoin (0.15) or Ethereum (4.78). HTC will start shipping the phone in December.

Qualcomm has taken the covers off the successor to its Snapdragon 670 for mid-range smartphones. The new Snapdragon 675 focuses on bringing features typically found in flagships to more affordable devices, particularly in the areas of gaming, imaging and AI.

With a 6.2-inch full HD+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, the Lenovo S5 Pro also brings two dual camera setups (one on each side) in the sub-US$200 price range, something that no major brand managed to do so far. Sadly, this handset might remain exclusively available in China.

Google Chrome users who run the browser on Qualcomm Snapdragon-driven Windows 10 ARM laptops are facing performance problems due to the fact that these machines have to emulate this piece of code. Qualcomm has confirmed that an ARM port of Chrome is in the making, but it might take almost a year until it becomes available.

Although the technical details are shady at this stage, it seems that Samsung is working on an in-house GPU for its upcoming gaming handset. Some pictures of Samsung’s clamshell phone, the W2019, have been leaked online. The images show a hefty-looking flip-phone that has two displays and dual rear cameras. Its high-end predecessor, the W2018, was only released in China and it did not come cheap. The basic variant of that W-series handset cost over US$2,400, and it’s likely the W2019 will also command a similarly high price.

Last year, the Pixel 2 was hailed for its Samsung display while the Pixel 2 XL was heavily criticized for its LG panel. This year, though, it would appear that tables have turned, with the more expensive phone opting for the traditionally better display.

Immediately after Xiaomi teased the release date for the Black Shark 2 gaming phone, the model allegedly got tested in Geekbench. As far as hardware specs go, the alleged Black Shark 2 appears to feature the same configuration as the original Black Shark and the Geekbench scores are very similar, as well. Alternatively, the Geekbench model could be the international edition of the original Black Shark that will be launched soon.

Google has detailed what is so special about the new Titan M custom silicon it has baked into the Pixel 3 to help secure the device. In its latest blog post since the official launch of the device, Google has identified four key areas where the new chip will protect users from attacks.

Although not all the features have been revealed yet, Xiaomi has just confirmed that the Mi Mix 3 will be the first handset from a major brand to hit the market with 10 GB of memory and 5G connectivity. Long before the Pixel 3 devices were launched, rumors had it that the 3 XL would sport an OLED display made by LG. The device was released last week and reviews of its display have been extremely positive, all of which now makes sense as it's been revealed that the Pixel 3 XL sports a Samsung-made display, not an LG one as previously thought.

The HiSilicon 710-powered Honor 8X is now ready to take on the Indian market, where those interested will be able to get it for the equivalent of US$203 (4/64 GB variant), US$231 (6/64 GB version), or US$258 (6/128 GB). The massive 6.4-inch, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-powered LG V40 ThinQ that features a tri-camera setup on the back and a dual selfie shooter is now up for pre-order in the US for prices that start at US$899.70 (US Cellular) and go up to US$979.99 (Verizon Wireless), but various installment plans are also available.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is set to be launched on Tuesday, October 16. The device will be one of the biggest flagships of the year and will make a number of improvements on its predecessor, the Mate 10 Pro, most notable of which could be price.

The Razer Phone 2 has "big ass side bezels" and Razer isn't afraid to show it. Since triple-cam setups are becoming the norm, Samsung is upping the ante with rear quad-cam setups now. Surprisingly enough, the first quad-cam model will not be a high-end device, but a premium mid-range one powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The T-Mobile exclusive Alcatel 3T 8 is just another budget tablet with enough of a punch to act as a device for the kids, although it is not designed specifically for them. This 8-inch slate runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is the first one to support T-Mobile's Extended Range LTE 600 MHz spectrum.

As if having a notch on the Google Pixel 3 XL wasn’t bad enough, Google apparently wanted to include one on the smaller Pixel 3 as well. The only reason it didn’t also end up with a notch was that hardware restrictions got in the way.

The Honor 8C has just been spotted on Huawei's Vmall online store and is expected to officially debut soon as the world's first Qualcomm Snapdragon 632-driven handset. This 6.26-inch handset also features 4 GB of memory, 64 GB of internal storage space, and a dual main camera that combines a 13 MP and a 2 MP sensor.

The all-screen-no-notch Honor Magic 2 is expected to debut on the last day of October with the HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor under the hood. Its specs are also rumored to include an in-display fingerprint reader, an AMOLED display, as well as a graphene-based battery — the first handset to use this technology.

Back when Motorola unveiled the three Moto E5 handsets, only the E5 Play and E5 Plus were announced for the US. Now, the regular E5 has just become available for purchase in the US via Best Buy. This US$99.99 Qualcomm Snapdragon 425-powered handset will also reach Target and Walmart next week.

Last year's W2018 seems to have been successful enough to get a successor, and so the flip phone refuses to fade away. The upcoming Samsung W2019 has just received its WiFi certification and is very likely to arrive in December. The rumors mention a Snapdragon 845 processor and a dual camera setup on the back.

Facebook has introduced a smart home product it has dubbed Portal. Available in two sizes, the device offers similar functionality to the Amazon Echo Show, but focuses on providing seamless video chatting through its Messenger app.

Although the Mi 8 might beat it by around 10 percent in the graphics department, the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 appears to be faster in the other areas, scoring a total of 313,561 AnTuTu points vs. 287,469 for the Xiaomi flagship. The Huawei handset sports a HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, 6 GB RAM, and 128 GB internal storage.
