BLU Products often goes quiet for rather long periods, but even during such periods, the US-based brand keeps releasing new affordable handsets. The latest member of the Vivo XL lineup has been silently added to Amazon and it definitely packs quite a punch for the sub-US$150 price range.
Driven by the same MediaTek Helio P22 processor as the Xiaomi Redmi 6, the BLU Vivo XL4 comes with 3 GB of memory, 32 GB of internal storage, a 13 MP selfie shooter and a 13 + 2 MP main camera setup, a 6.2-inch HD+ display, all powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with 5 V/2 A fast charging. In addition to these specs, there is also microSD support up to 128 GB, 4G LTE compatible with all GSM networks in the US — including AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, metro PCS, and others, a traditional 3.5 mm audio jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, as well as micro USB connectivity (unfortunately, it seems that adding USB Type-C is almost impossible for this price range).
The BLU Vivo XL4 apparently comes only in black and gold, loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo (apparently at least Android Pie should come as an update at some point in the future). However, only the first color choice is in stock right now, so you might need to wait for a while until the gold one is ready for shipping once again if good old black metal is not your thing.
