The 6-inch BLU Vivo XL3 Plus debuts with 16 MP selfie camera and Snapdragon 425 in tow
Although the 5.5-inch BLU Vivo XL 3 has been available on Amazon for a few days already, it still has no official product page. On the other hand, BLU Products decided to silently introduce a Plus version instead. However, a closer look at these two handsets reveals that there is not much they have in common except the 3,000 mAh battery and their belonging to the third iteration of the Vivo XL lineup.
The new BLU Vivo XL3 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, while the Vivo XL 3 has a MediaTek chip under the hood. The other essential features include 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, microSD support up to 64 GB, a 16 MP selfie shooter with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, a 13 MP main camera with f/2.0, as well as a 3,000 mAh battery. The 6-inch display has 1,440 x 720 pixels and provides 450 nits of brightness. Thankfully, there is no notch in sight, but this phablet has a nice screen to body ratio of 83 percent. Strange enough, it looks like the Vivo XL3 Plus only comes with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard. Its 5.5-sibling that we mentioned earlier sports a MediaTek chip and comes with Oreo out-of-the-box.
Since the BLU Vivo XL 3 has a price tag that reads US$189.99, we guess that the BLU Vivo XL 3 Plus should not cost much more than US$200, either. Unfortunately, there is no official information about its pricing and availability yet.
