Sprint has recently mentioned an unannounced BLU S1 smartphone on their official site. This would be the first device from BLU to work with the US mobile network operator. While Sprint does not offer any details about the S1 model, the guys over at Best Cellular managed to get their hands on images and specs for the new BLU smartphone.
The S1 seems to be a mid-range model at best, as it is powered by Mediatek’s MTK6750 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with only 2 GB RAM. It also comes with a 5.2-inch HD display, 16 GB of internal storage, and it integrates a 5 MP front camera plus a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. Other features include a fingerprint sensor, a 2,800 mAh battery and the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Best Cellular lists the S1 for US$159.95 + sales tax and orders can already be placed. However, BLU has not yet confirmed anything about the late August shipment mentioned on the Best Cellular site.
