Oppo Reno 10x Zoom: A US$550 handset that matches the camera quality of the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10, according to DxOMark

The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom offers, as its name suggests, a comparatively high magnification telephoto camera sensor. The device has a 16 mm ultra-wide camera and a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary rear-facing sensor too, the combination of which has received a camera score of 116 from DxOMark. The score puts the Reno 10x Zoom in joint third place in DxOMark's camera leaderboard too.

Epic, the developer of the smash hit arena shooter Fortnite, has reignited an argument with Google over the revenue share practices of the Play Store. Epic is reportedly hoping to bring Fortnite to the Play Store but has requested an exemption from the current 70/30 revenue split all other app developers are subject to on the Play Store. Google has offered a flat "No" in response.

However, Zhang's predictions are at odds with other analysts, who claim that the iPhone 11 family is selling quite well.

OPPO's upcoming mid-ranger may be MediaTek Helio P70-powered (again)

Two new devices, apparently made by OPPO, have shown up on the Geekbench 4 website. Given the similarities in their specs and model numbers, they may be 2 variants of the same phone. Oddly, however, they are listed with the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, as are some of this OEM's existing phones.

Samsung may implement its 108 MP camera sensor in the Galaxy S11, according to inside sources. The 108 MP main camera will be flanked by three other sensors: an ultrawide lens, a 5x optical zoom lens, and a time-of-flight sensor. While a 108 MP camera looks great on paper, there are some drawbacks to crunching that many pixels.

At the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019 event, Qualcomm offered a deep dive into the technical specifications of its latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 865. The Snapdragon 865 features improved Kryo 585 CPU, an Adreno 650 GPU, a Hexagon 698 DSP, and the Spectra 480 ISP. The Snapdragon 865 does not feature any onboard modem and instead, requires OEMs to use the companion Snapdragon X55 modem that is Qualcomm's flagship 5G offering.
