AYA NEO has revealed new configurations for the AYA NEO AIR Plus, a 6-inch gaming handheld that will be available from US$249. Not only will the AYA NEO AIR Plus be available with AMD Mendocino APUs, but AYA NEO will also sell it with the Pentium Gold 8505 and the Core i3-1215U. For some reason, Intel Alder Lake-powered units will ship at least two months before their AMD Mendocino counterparts.

AYA NEO has introduced the AYA NEO 2 GEEK, seemingly a lesser alternative to the regular AYA NEO 2. Already pre-orderable in China, the AYA NEO 2 GEEK will come with Ryzen 5 6600U and Ryzen 7 6800U chipsets, plus 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The AYA NEO 2 GEEK will be available globally too, starting at US$619 with a Ryzen 5 6600U APU.

The new Venus UMF560 mini PCs are powered by the Ryzen 5 5625U APU with Radeon Vega 7 iGPU. These models are refreshed versions of the original Ryzen 5000U models, but feature slightly higher clocks. Thanks to four 4K connectors, MINISFORUM's Venus systems are ideal for HTPC use cases.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 gets an exclusive processor from AMD: The AMD Ryzen Pro 7 6860Z. This CPU of the U series with a TDP of 15 W is a modified version of the octacore Ryzen Pro 6850U. Alongside the detailed specifications of the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13, Lenovo has released the first specs of the processor with the "Z" suffix for the first time.

AYN Technologies has provided more details about LOKI, billed as 'the most affordable Windows handheld ever created'. While that claim may be valid for the LOKI Mini, the LOKI Max will rival the prices of other Windows handhelds. AYN Technologies will equip all but the LOKI Mini with AMD Ryzen 6000 series APUs.

MINISFORUM has confirmed a few more details about the Neptune HX90G, its 150 W mini-PC. Not only will the company equip the Neptune HX90G with a colossal heatsink, it will also pre-apply liquid metal to the machine's CPU and its Radeon RX 6650M GPU.

AMD Ryzen 7000 "Raphael" chips will have a much higher performance delta compared to Zen 3 than the company revealed at Computex 2022, if a recent leak from Moore's Law is Dead is to be believed. According to the leak, AMD significantly downplayed the single-threaded capabilities of its next gen CPUs. The same goes for clock speeds where the leaker claims that Raphael chips can easily push 5.5 GHz on all cores.

AYA NEO has introduced the AIR Plus, the first AMD Mendocino-based device. While the AIR Plus will feature RDNA 2-based graphics like the Steam Deck, AMD Mendocino APUs only have one workgroup processor. Hence, the AYA NEO AIR Plus will have a quarter of the Steam Deck's Compute Units.

AYA NEO has announced that it intends to sell the AYA NEO AIR and AYA NEO AIR Pro, available with up to the AMD Ryzen 7 5825U APU. The AYA NEO AIR series will start at US$499 when it debuts on Indiegogo soon.

Hallock explains that the flagship Ryzen 7000 processors will have a maximum TDP of 170 W, and the 16 cores will easily hit 5.5 GHz. RAM should also see considerable overclocking headroom, while expected performance uplift over Zen 3 is expected to be around 40%. Some AVX 512 AI instruction sets are also supported and the RDNA2 iGPU is clearly not on the same level as the Radeon 680M from the Rembrandt APUs.

Xiaomi has introduced the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition, a Ryzen 6000H counterpart to the Intel Alder Lake model that the company already sells. Available with the Ryzen 5 6600H or the Ryzen 7 6800H, the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 Ryzen Edition also comes with an optional GeForce RTX 2050 GPU from NVIDIA's Ampere family.

Xiaomi has released the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 Ryzen Edition, which it powers with AMD Ryzen 6000H-series APUs. Only available with integrated graphics, the 14-inch laptop also has a 120 Hz display, PCIe 4.0 storage and LPDDR5 RAM, among other features. The RedmiBook Pro 14 2022 Ryzen Edition starts at CNY 5,299 (~US$797).

The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX APU with the RDNA2-based Radeon 680M iGPU has finally appeared on PassMark, despite being announced way back in January. The Zen 3+ chip managed higher single-thread and multi-test scores than the fastest Zen 3 counterpart, the Ryzen 9 5980HX. The Ryzen 9 6900HX also outmuscled the Intel Core i7-12800H in overall CPU Mark.

MSI has introduced a new lineup of X670 and X670E motherboards for the AMD Ryzen 7000 AM5 platform. Today, the company is taking wraps off the MEG X670E Ace, the MPG X670E Carbon Wi-Fi, and the Pro X670-P Wi-Fi with more models to expected be revealed this Fall.

Corsair has unveiled its first-ever gaming laptop, the Voyager a1600. Its key specs include an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, Radeon RX 6800M GPU, a 16-inch 240Hz QHD+ screen, Cherry MX key switches, and a 99 Wh battery. Corsair will confirm its availability later and prices are set to start at US$2,700.

AMD officially announced Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 CPUs and the AM5 platform at Computex 2022. Ryzen 7000 features 5 nm Zen 4 chiplets and a 6 nm I/O die that will include an RDNA 2 iGPU along with PCIe Gen 5 and DDR5 controllers. Ryzen 7000 will also feature 2x the L2 cache as Zen 3 and is purported to offer a 15% uplift in single-core performance over Zen 3.

Apropos to AMD's official unveiling of Ryzen 7000 AM5 platform, Asus launched its first X670E motherboard: the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme. The X670E Extreme offers a complete PCIe Gen 5 solution and features 20+2 phase VRMs and other flagship components for enthusiast overclocking and ease of installation and upgrades.

AMD announced the arrival of desktop Ryzen 7000 processors based on the Zen 4 architecture at Computex 2022. Ryzen 7000 is supported by new X670E/X670, B650, and A620 chipsets. The X670 series is daisy-chained to maximize I/O. It is being learnt that the low-end A620 chipset will launch alongside upcoming Rembrandt APUs later this year.

If recent Geekbench 5 benchmark results for the AMD Radeon RX 6300M are true, the entry level GPU looks quite weak. According to BenchLeaks, the RX 6300M is almost 77% less powerful than the RTX 3070 when using the Vulcan API in Geekbench 5.

A noted leaker has offered their take on the potential clock rates for key SKUs in the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” series. The commenter has been quite optimistic with some of the clock rate estimates, with the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X potentially offering a higher boost rate than Alder Lake’s i9-12900KS Turbo Max 3.0 speed of 5.3 GHz.

Acer has upgraded the TravelMate lineup of business laptops with the latest Intel 12th gen vPro and AMD Ryzen 6000 Pro processors. The TravelMate P2 is available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch versions while the TravelMate P4 and TravelMate Spin P4 come in 14-inch and 16-inch variants. All TravelMate models are Microsoft Secured-core PCs built with a focus on security and durability while using sustainable construction and packaging materials.

The new Neptune series is advertised as the world's first mini PC lineup with AMD RDNA2 dGPUs. MINISFORUM is planning to first release a Ryzen 9 5900HX + Radeon RX 6650M model, followed by Ryzen 9 6900HX and Intel Alder Lake variants with the same dGPU.

Xiaomi has dropped a teaser for the next version of the RedmiBook Pro 14 2022. Already available with Intel Alder Lake processors, Xiaomi is now giving the 14-inch laptop an AMD Ryzen refresh. This year's AMD Ryzen Edition will launch with H-series APUs too, upgrading the RedmiBook Pro 14 from Lucienne U-based APUs.

The high-end X670 Extreme chipset is supposed to be featured on the most expensive AM5 motherboards, and AMD is apparently forcing PCIe 5.0-only support for GPU and storage on these models. The X670 models, on the other hand, could feature either PCie 4.0 or PCIe 5.0, while the budget B650 solutions would be limited to PCIe 4.0.

HP is offering an upgraded Envy x360 15.6-inch convertible in both Intel Alder Lake-P and AMD Barcelo-U options. The Intel variant offers a few extra goodies like optional QHD 120 Hz display and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity while the AMD variant makes do with up to an FHD OLED option. HP says that it has focused on collaborative features such as a 5 MP webcam and the HP Palette suite.

A supposed AMD Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” price list has surfaced on Weibo, which also offers some scant details about the SKU designations and even core/thread count for the top-end part. Apparently, the Ryzen 9 7950X will have 24 cores, cost well over the equivalent of US$900, and it will be ready to bring Zen 4 power to Intel Raptor Lake’s doorstep.

AMD's Chief of Marketing, Frank Azor, has posted a chart on Twitter illustrating the performance per dollar advantage that AMD's RX 6000 series GPUs enjoy over Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3000 series. Per the chart, the RX 6700 XT offers 30% more performance/US$ and 10% more performance/watt than the RTX 3060 Ti.

US$299 gets you a Ryzen 5 3550H with Vega 8 iGPU plus 256 GB of SSD storage, but no RAM. For US100 more you can also get 16 GB of RAM and up the storage to 512 GB, however. Manjaro Linux is also streamlined to work on budget solutions.

HP has announced a refreshed Omen 16. The 2022 Omen 16 sports the same chassis design as last year's version but now comes with Intel Alder Lake-H and Ryzen 6000H CPU options. Also available are GPU options up to a 150 W RTX 3070 Ti and, for the first time, a Radeon RX 6650M.

HP is now offering an upgraded Victus 15 in both Intel Alder Lake-H and AMD Ryzen 5000H flavors. The Intel variant features an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU while the AMD version offers an RX 6500M. Both models offer full-sized keyboards, Omen Gaming Hub, and improved thermals.

The Intel Core i9-12900HX has seemingly been promoted in UserBenchmark’s average bench chart thanks to the dismissal of the result of an underperforming sample. Previously, two i9-12900HX sample runs left the chip languishing behind several AMD rivals, but the removal of the poor result has left the Alder Lake mobile part in a loftier position.

AMD's upcoming Instinct MI300 HPC accelerator may turn out to be an APU instead of just a GPU. The MI300 is now being rumored to integrate a Zen 4 CPU, a CDNA 3-based GPU, and shared HBM memory to create what could be the world's biggest x86 exascale APU for datacenters.

ASUS has introduced the ROG Flow X16, a convertible gaming laptop with a 16-inch display. Not only has ASUS equipped the ROG Flow X16 with powerful CPU and GPU combinations, it has also included 512 mini-LED local dimming zones that allow the 165 Hz display to reach 1,100 nits.

GPD has received its first batch of AMD Ryzen 7 6800U APUs, which will power the upcoming GPD Win Max 2 handheld. The first working model should be ready by June 2022, hopefully followed by an official announcement detailing price and availability.

AYA NEO has introduced the AYA NEO 2 and AYA NEO Slide, two handheld games consoles powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U. With the Radeon 680M onboard, both machines are said to deliver NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti-performance levels and could be twice as fast as Valve's Steam Deck.

The OpenBenchmarking database entries show an 8-core Ryzen 7000X model that can boost to 5.21 GHz, while MLID reports 28-37% Zen 4 single-core performance increase with even higher multi-thread gains over existing Zen 3 models.

Lenovo launched the 7th generation of the Legion 7 series in Legion 7i powered by Alder Lake-HX and Legion 7 powered by Ryzen 6000 HX flavors. The Legion 7 and 7i now boast of a number of firsts in the 16-inch gaming laptop category along with upgrades to memory, storage, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

This year's Legion Slim 7 is the first all-AMD system of the series. It features the newly released Ryzen 6000H/X processors coupled with the Radeon RX 6000S dGPUs and up to 24 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. There is also a USB4 port, a 16-inch Mini-LED IPS screen option and another with 240 Hz refresh rate.

AMD detailed how constant improvements to Radeon Software has resulted in tangible performance gains in popular games. During the presentation, AMD also briefly touched upon FSR 2.0 and said Deathloop will be the first major title to enable FSR 2.0 support on May 12 with other popular titles to soon follow suit.
