Newegg is currently shipping the latest VivoBook 15X OLED for $250 USD off the original retail price of $800. The configuration is notable for its OLED panel which should offer significantly deeper colors, faster response times, and deeper contrast ratio than most other laptops in the same price range. Its Ryzen H-series CPU should also provide better performance than the typical U-series option.

While CPU performance and display quality are top notch considering the price, there are still a few cut corners to keep in mind. The 8 GB of single-channel RAM, for example, severely limits both graphics performance and the multi-tasking capabilities of the laptop. Fortunately, the bottom panel can be easily removed and additional RAM can be added.
