Courage to do without. The Huawei P40 Lite is the most affordable smartphone in the new P40 lineup. With its 6.4-inch display, the octa-core Kirin 810 SoC, 128 GB of storage, and a 48-MP four-camera system, it competes in the fiercely contested mid-range segment. Only one thing is lacking: There is no Google Play and no other Google Services. Our test shows how well the P40 Lite fares despite this lack.

Can they make this work? The Huawei P40 belongs to the first generation of Huawei's P series smartphones without Google services. The P40's camera takes very sharp pictures and the high-end smartphone looks very promising in general.

The larger Pixel smartphone. Google offers the Pixel 4 also in an XL version, whose size allows for a more powerful battery. Not only is the battery capacity sufficient to run the larger display, but it also improves on the overall endurance of the smartphone.
