Samsung has launched the first ever Galaxy A0x-subseries device this year. Now, it seems this first-gen phone is also the template for a new member of the Galaxy M line. It is currently officially known as the SM-M015G/DS, and may also debut soon now that it has reportedly gathered its own necessary certification.
Samsung has informed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that the Galaxy A01 (or SM-A015F/DS) is the apparent M01's "parent device". This means the 2 phones are likely to share the same 5.7-inch HD+ screen and low-end cameras. However, the newer model is slated to get what is often the M-series' USP: a relatively large battery.
It will be 4000mAh, whereas the A01 is stuck with a 3000mAh capacity. However, there are no indications as to when or where the Galaxy M01 may launch, or how much it would be. For reference, its A-series 'parent' is now known to cost US$109.99.
