A new Samsung India support page implies an imminent launch for the Galaxy M01s
Samsung launched the Galaxy M01 as a super-cost-effective device alongside the slightly more premium M11 in India recently. Now, it appears this ultra-budget phone is getting a new sub-variant. It has already been officially acknowledged by the OEM with a support page ahead of its release.
Therefore, its name has been confirmed for sure, along with one of its specs: 3GB of RAM. However, there are indications that this M01s will not exactly be a fresh prospect when it goes on sale. A Google Play Console listing allegedly discovered by the blog MySmartPrice shows that it is also in fact known as the Galaxy A10s in other markets.
Therefore, the M01s may turn up powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek processor, a 4000mAh battery and with 13+2MP rear cameras. Its new apparent listing suggests that it, like the A10s, has 2GB of RAM.
However, it is also likely that the rebrand that shifts it to the Galaxy M series will leave it as just 1 SKU with the spec mentioned by Samsung itself, even as the M01 is a 3GB version of the A10. To date, there is no hint of a launch date for the impending new low-end option.
