A game-changer? AMD made its comeback into the CPU business with its Ryzen series not only on desktops but also on laptops. The company made a similar foray into the GPU market with its Navi desktop cards earlier this year, a move that it is trying to replicate on laptops with its Navi 14 GPUs. NVIDIA has dominated the upper midrange of laptop GPUs for a while, but AMD is looking to change that, offering consumers more choice in the process. First 17.3-inch laptop with a 4K 120 Hz display. The AU Optronics B173ZAN03.3 panel makes its debut on the Razer laptop to offer both faster refresh rates and faster black-white response times than any 17.3-inch laptop before it. The end result is a better 4K gaming experience than what other 17.3-inch laptops currently have to offer.

Much better than the entry-level version. Quite recently we reviewed a very well-priced version of the Dell G5 15 5590 that had a Core i5-9300H and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. But now we are taking a look at a more expensive model that features the Core i7-9750H and the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and costs 2000 Euros (~$2229). AMD and Nvidia make a good team. The HP Pavilion Gaming 15 runs all current games smoothly and displays them on its matte 15.6-inch screen (FHD, IPS). The laptop is well-equipped: 16 GB of RAM (dual-channel mode), NVMe SSD, HDD. Surprisingly, the battery life is excellent.

Medium performance for a high price. The Zephyrus M GU502GU starts at the same price as the Razer Blade 15 with the same CPU, GPU, and 144 Hz display. It becomes difficult to recommend the Asus when the Razer alternative is both smaller and more rigid while offering essentially the same level of gaming performance.
