Subscribers can collect a total of 48 free engrams over the course of a year. The partnership suggests that Destiny 2 will eventually be making its way to Amazon's game streaming service much like how it's already playable on Google Stadia.

Out of all the shopping and streaming subscriptions out there, Amazon Prime is probably the most amusing simply because of the long list perks it carries. Its newest perk doesn't even involve shopping or streaming at all as it relates to a game that's completely detached from the Amazon brand.

As detailed here, Bungie will be giving away four free in-game Destiny 2 items to Amazon Prime subscribers each month for the next year. Though most will be cosmetic emotes, ornaments, sparrows, ships and ghost shells, the developer is promising exotic weapon engrams from time to time as well. Users who aren't yet Amazon Prime members can still join to claim the monthly engrams from the Tower before they expire at the end of that month.

The Bungie-Amazon engagement is unexpected especially since Destiny 2 is not even playable on Amazon Luna at the moment. To play the game and claim the rewards, users would have to turn towards Steam, XBox, Game Pass, Playstation, or Google Stadia — services that are in direct competition with Luna. We wouldn't be surprised to see Destiny 2 included with Amazon's game streaming service at some point in the near future as a result.
