Six years since the first edition that took place on December 5, 2014, and had almost 2 million viewers, The Game Awards show is moving into the virtual space due to the ongoing pandemic. While Dragon Age: Inquisition received the Game of the Year award at the first edition, it seems like this year we will only get some additional details regarding the upcoming title in the series developed by BioWare.
The message posted last week on Twitter by the host of the aforementioned show, Geoff Keighley, reads "Don't miss a special look at the next DRAGON AGE from @bioware during #TheGameAwards next Thursday." and received a lot of attention ever since, which translates to 1.3K retweets, 1.1K quotes, and 10K likes.
Sadly, some comments highlight that there is not much hope for BioWare after Casey Hudson's leaving and that the failure that was Anthem might bring the entire company down. Fortunately, many fans hope for the best and have not given hope yet. Tomorrow will be a very interesting day and BioWare's future might depend on what will be unveiled regarding Dragon Age 4 (or whatever the name of the upcoming fourth installment in the series).
Otherwise, tomorrow's big piece of news will be the Cyberpunk 2077 launch. Remains to see if that will come with server problems, first-day bugs, other calamities, or everything will go smoothly. As usual, feel free to head on to the comments section and share your Dragon Age-related memories with us. Do you have any favorite title/s in the series? Never played it? Will you get the next Dragon Age game no-matter-what?
