Game Awards announcements: Far Cry: New Dawn, Dragon Age 4, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Red Dead Redemption 2 and God of War may have stolen many of the headlines for the 2018 Game Awards, but there were also plenty of game-industry announcements that deserved notice. Arguably one of the major revelations of the evening was BioWare’s confirmation of Dragon Age 4 with a teaser trailer that, unfortunately, shows very little (see below). Ubisoft showed off Far Cry: New Dawn, which is expected for release on February 15, 2019, and Bethesda gave May 14, 2019 as the release date for Rage 2.
Nintendo Switch owners can look forward to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order that will feature playable fan favorites like Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Wolverine. Mortal Kombat reaches its 11th chapter and should be released on April 23. Fans of Psychonauts will be pleased to hear the sequel, which was announced at the 2015 Game Awards, has been confirmed for a 2019 release.
Obsidian publicly announced The Outer Worlds, an action RPG game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and a new trailer for Anthem was unveiled by BioWare. Along with news about games like The Last Campfire, The Journey to the Savage Planet, Scavengers, Dauntless, PUBG Mobile, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Fortnite, and more, it looks like 2019 is going to be a promising year for gamers. You can watch the teasers and trailers for these games at the Game Awards official YouTube channel.
